There are far too many different types of dog to go into here and no doubt you will be familiar with the most popular breeds. The most important thing to say is to just do your research; different breeds of dogs are just like different groups or races of people. They all have different needs, different personalities and are suited to different types of environment. If you invest in a pedigree breed then this is even more important as those types of breeds tend to be more prone to chronic health problems because of the types of breeding programs which they undergo. You also need to take out third party liability insurance. When you’re out walking your dog, you will come into contact with other dogs, other people and, possibly, motorists as well.
